ALL MUSICAL ACTS

Dale as a soloist

5535 2e

Big Band-era jazz, folk, blues, vintage rock, country, ragtime, bluegrass, classical, and elegant instrumentals in many popular styles (Beatles to Gershwin to  T-Bone Walker).

Dale can perform focused entertainment with vocals, provide ambient, instrumental-only music, or a combination of both.

  • Guitars (steel & nylon-string), tenor ukulele, vocal

Listen to Dale:

"Mister Sandman"  This classic was one of my first ukulele arrangements, and a joy to play. It was written by Pat Ballard in 1954.

Note: My ukulele instrumentals are chord-melodies of timeless songs, as well as original creations.  I was inspired to learn ukulele by the great Jake Shimabukuro.

"When You Wish Upon A Star"   This is my favorite ukulele instrumental. Written by Leigh Harline and Ned Washington in 1939 for Disney's movie Pinnocchio, it won an Academy Award for Best Original Song.

"The Dutchman", an emotive, sentimental love song written by Michael Peter Smith in 1968. To my guitar students: this is a great example of cross-picking!
